Twenty years.
I've been a creative independent since 2003: self proclaimed creative director, designer, and systems thinker based in the Netherlands. With over twenty years of experience across branding, typography, web design, illustration, and visual communication.
Being a true creative also means being critical and curious at the same time. This wasn't any different when AI came into the picture. Most AI output is generic because there's nothing underneath it. With me there's always a self created reference, by a human hand and twenty years of learning why something works, elevated by AI, only when it suits or benefits the story.
Twintig jaar.
Ik ben sinds 2003 een creatieve freelancer: zelfbenoemd creative director, ontwerper en systeemdenker, gevestigd in Nederland. Met meer dan twintig jaar ervaring in branding, typografie, webdesign, illustratie en visuele communicatie.
Een echte creatieveling zijn betekent ook kritisch en nieuwsgierig zijn. Dat was niet anders toen AI in beeld kwam. De meeste AI-output is generiek omdat het fundament generiek is. Bij mij is er altijd een zelfgecreëerde referentie, "human made", en twintig jaar aan ervaring naar waarom iets werkt, die alleen door AI wordt versterkt wanneer het past of bijdraagt aan het verhaal.
